We are now actively looking for a Rail Coordinator M/W to join our belgian team and develop the activity within our transport agency in Antwerpen.
SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Administrative profile who has already worked for at least 2 years in a road or rail transport agency
- And or recently graduated in Transport and Logistics with 1st experience (apprenticeship) in road or rail transport
- Experience in land transport of sea containers would be a plus
- A self-motivated individual with a keen interest and curiosity in the rail sector
- Flemish fluently speaking is mandatory, french or english speaking skills would be a plus
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Responsible for preparing the loading of trains, before their arrival or departure from the rail terminal, he / she thus :
- Studies train boards before trains arrival to prepare in advance for the train's positioning on our tracks
- Optimises train boards (repositioning containers) before trains depart
- Check that wagons are loaded in accordance with the train boards on arrival and before departure, and report any anomalies (problems with container weight, etc.)
- Inform customers of train arrivals and any problems (delays, cancellations, undelivered containers, etc.) and manage any disputes.
- Organises the intra-port shuttle schedule with the rail operator
- Handles Invoicing customers (stored containers, etc.)
