You will be part of an industry-leading team of agriculture and weather data scientist and analysts that provide global grains/oilseed/softs supply and demand fundamental analysis and forecasts. Internally, you will work with Agriculture Research analysts, as well as our Weather, Pricing and Shipping teams at LSEG to grow new insights and expand the scope of existing products. Externally, you will present our agricultural research and forecasts to our global user base that spans the agricultural supply chain, via client meetings, webinars and press reports.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and develop data-driven models to forecast sown area, efficiency and production of major commodity crops in Europe and Black Sea regions, working closely with our team of analysts, weather, pricing and remote sensing experts
- Monitor and analyze global crop supply and demand fundamentals, such as wheat and corn.

Present research results in innovative ways via market commentaries, market reports, podcasts, webinars, and conference presentations.- Handle and/or implement workflows with full accountability for quality and timeliness, including release of crop production forecasts and market reports.
- Work closely with market development and sales force to support customers and raise awareness of LSEG agriculture research, including crop production forecasts, trade flows analysis, price assessment, and ag weather research.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in quantitative/predictive analysis and data-based modeling.
- Basic skills of Python or R, as well as database query (SQL) languages and programming
- Problem-solving skills
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Proficiency in English
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience modeling agricultural systems, or have experience in agricultural commodity markets
- Experience in the agricultural business, and knowledge of the agricultural crop production in Europe and Black Sea
- Educational Background in Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Meteorology, Geography, Plant Sciences, or a closely related field
