About the role:

This position provides vital administrative support to the Divisional Response Unit (DRU) and the Dandenong Multi-Disciplinary Centre (MDC). The position supports the investigative function by reducing the administration tasks by investigators and provides general office admin support.

Your duties will include:

  • Perform a variety of computerized activities including data entry, case file uploading, word processing and preparation of reports.
  • Assisting all office members in the use of various databases.
  • Preparation and completion of monthly snapshot report.
  • Undertake filing and record maintenance.
  • Monitor data management for the unit.
  • Prepare routine correspondence on a range of administrative matters and attend to follow-up procedures as required.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in working with computers and systems to perform a range of administrative tasks including, records management, data entry and word processing tasks.
  • Must have the ability to accurately maintain systematic and administrative records.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment and ability to work independently.
  • Prioritisation skills and ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
  • This position is located at the Springvale Police Station three days per week (DRU) and the unmarked police complex at Dandenong Multi-Disciplinary Centre, two days per week.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with the Acting Chief Health Officer's Direction – COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, you are required to be fully vaccinated (this includes a booster vaccination) and your employment with Victoria Police is subject to proof of vaccination.
